We'll keep this short, not 60 pages long.
We see and save some of your information, it's all information you've made available to us, and it's all information that we believe is reasonably defensible to be data that could be used to improve your experience here. None of your data is ever collected with the primary purpose of using it for monetary gain.
You are getting a lot of value on this site, please be kind to us and the other patrons.
We reserve the right to ban anyone from using our service for any reason, including hacking, leaderboard manipulation, innocently using a previously banned IP, or any other general abuse that any reasonable adult would say is outside the spirit of intended use of this product.

If you buy something
Nothing is for sale yet — everything on Script Fall is free. If we ever do sell things, these are the rules, and you'll be asked to agree to them before your first purchase. We'll keep these short too.
Founders
If your account was made while the founders' offer was open, and you sign in with Google or Facebook, you're a founder: you get lifetime access to everything we sell for Script Fall's story and looks — every story chapter, every story we add later, and every premium badge — free. You'll never be charged for anything it covers. "Lifetime" means for as long as Script Fall runs (see "If Script Fall ever closes" below). It belongs to your account alone: it can't be sold, transferred or shared, and an account shared or resold to get around that can lose it. It doesn't include ink, which you earn by playing.
What you're buying
Ink is Script Fall's in-game currency, spent on things for your story-mode hero to wear. When you buy ink or an item, you're buying the right to use it inside Script Fall. Ink isn't money: it has no cash value, can't be swapped back for money, and can't be sold or given to another account. Everything in the shop is for looks. Nothing you can buy makes a game easier or changes a leaderboard, and nothing ever will.
Paying
You'll see the price before you pay, including any tax we have to charge. Payments are handled by a payment company; they see your card details, and we never do. You need to be 18 to buy anything, or have a parent's or guardian's permission if you're a teenager.
Children and purchases
Young players can't buy anything. Only the grown-up who owns the account can, from their own player, and every purchase asks for the parent PIN first. If a child somehow buys something without your permission, tell us and we'll refund it.
Refunds
Changed your mind? If you haven't spent any of the ink you bought, ask within 14 days and we'll refund it in full.
Something went wrong? If you were charged twice, or charged and didn't get what you paid for, we'll put it right or give you your money back.
Already spent it? Ink you've spent on an item isn't refundable, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
To ask for a refund, write to hello@manoistudios.com from the email address on your account. A person will read it — there is only one of us.
Disputes with your bank
Please ask us first; it's quicker for everybody. If a charge is disputed with a bank or card company instead, we may pause the account until it's sorted out.
If an account is banned
Ink and items on an account banned under this agreement are lost and not refunded, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
If Script Fall ever closes
We'll stop selling ink straight away, give at least 60 days' notice, and refund any ink you bought in the last 90 days and haven't spent.
The law still applies
Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you where you live. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, USA, except where your local law says we can't choose that.
