Raining Cats

In the spirit of the classic formation shooter.

Mr. Pesar’s cats march on the marshes in formation. Only the front cat in each column can be hit — flick ink at it before they reach the fences. His paper kite and weather balloon are worth extra.

How it plays

The formation steps sideways and down; every cat wears a character, but only the front cat in each column can be reached. Wooden fences stand between you and them. Now and then a paper kite crosses the top, or a weather balloon rises from low down — catch its character for a bonus.

Why it helps you read

You read the whole front row at once and choose — practice at finding a character among many.
